Call for participation
Technology-Enhanced STEM Learning in Childhood workshop will facilitate inspiring discussions aiming to identifying challenges and potential topics for future research and collaboration among its participants. The participants will present insights from their research studies and be engaged in group discussions exploring the advantages, challenges, emerging technologies, and open questions associated with using technology in STEM learning experiences in childhood.
We invite authors to 1) to share their experiences and findings, 2) contribute to knowledge exchange, 3) build networks among professionals and experts in technology-enhanced STEM, including CT and CS, learning which is applied in various context formal and informal settings.
We welcome paper submissions (2 – 4 pages) of a) position papers, and b) work-in-progress, highlighting current research or case studies on topics of the field of Technology-Enhanced STEM learning for children.
Participant submissions due: (on or before) April 15, 2024
Suggested sub-topics related to the main theme for the workshop include but are not limited to the following:
- Digital Tools (e.g. Interactive learning environments, Educational Apps, digital games)
- Gamification in STEM education
- Multimodal interactive learning
- Virtual/Augmented reality
- Design related issues related to learning activities or/and digital tools
- Research Methodologies and research design
Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their submissions during a dedicated short talk session as described in the schedule above.
The selection process will be based on the relevance and quality of the submitted papers. Submissions should be in single column PDF format, following the ACM CHI Publication Format. Submissions should not be anonymized.

For each accepted paper, at least one author is required to attend the workshop, and all workshop participants are required to register for the main conference.
